Statement on Selection of Retired General Joe Logan as Honolulu’s next Chief of Police
Honolulu (HI) – Below is a statement on the selection of Retired General Logan as the next Chief of Police of the Honolulu Police Department from State of Hawaii Organization of Police Officers President, Robert Cavaco:
“We welcome back and congratulate Retired General Logan on his selection as Honolulu’s next Chief of Police. With violent crime continuing to rise, coupled with our severe staffing shortage, we are hopeful that Chief Logan will work collaboratively with SHOPO and the rank-and-file officers we represent to immediately address these challenges. SHOPO is committed to rolling up our sleeves and getting to work because procrastination will only worsen our problems for our department and the residents we serve. Hoʻi mai i kahi hoaaloha Chief Logan.”
Robert Cavaco, President, SHOPO
