Honoring a Hero: Support for the Family of Officer Suzanne O
On August 15, 2025, Maui Police Officer Suzanne O made the ultimate sacrifice, giving her life while protecting the community she served. She was fatally wounded while searching for a suspect who had already fired multiple gunshots at the caretaker of the old Paia Sugar Mill.
In this time of unimaginable grief, we are raising money to support her family and help ease their financial burden. The SHOPO Benevolent Fund is collecting donations on their behalf. 100% of your tax-deductible contribution will go directly to Officer O's family to help them navigate this difficult time.
