Zelda is a 35-year veteran of the Honolulu Police Department and has served SHOPO members for 30 years in roles ranging from Shop Steward and Detective’s Director to Honolulu Chapter Vice Chair. Currently a Detective with the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and a negotiator for the CID Crisis Negotiation Team, Zelda also volunteers as a Team Leader with the department’s Peer Support Unit to assist fellow officers following critical incidents. Whether Zelda is responding on the job, as a Peer Support member, or as a SHOPO representative, the needs of her Blue ‘Ohana always come first.
