Aloha, and welcome to the "only official" STATE OF HAWAII ORGANIZATION OF POLICE OFFICERS (SHOPO) web-site.

Welcome members of Our SHOPO and Police Ohana, and especially, welcome to the people of our communities to whom, we as police officers have taken an Oath to Serve and Protect to the best of our abilities. 

SHOPO: "Honored, Proud, and Boldly Serving and Protecting the people of our communities."

SHOPO's primary purpose of creating this web site is to provide for another means of communications with our members,  to relay general and pertinent information critical to our member’s profession as police officers, in addition to information necessary in providing for their personal needs in a timely manner. Equally important, this is an opportunity for SHOPO to share with the public an insight of the lives of Our SHOPO and Police Ohana.

SHOPO is an independent Police Union, and the exclusive representative of all police officers in the State of Hawaii , up to and including the rank of lieutenant. Our primary goal is to vigorously lobby and negotiate with the respective State and County Administration in attaining the best working conditions and benefits, to provide for, and to improve the quality of life for our members and their families.
 

This SHOPO web site is first dedicated in the Honor and Memory of Our Fallen Heroes (shopohawaii.org/memorial.htm) who have admirably carried out and performed the ultimate sacrifice in serving and protecting the lives and properties of the people of our communities.

Secondly, this web site is dedicated to Our Entire SHOPO and Police Ohana past and present, as we continue to honor the legacies of Our Fallen Heroes in providing the best police service for the people of our beautiful Island State we call home, Hawaii.

Lastly, on behalf of Our Entire SHOPO Ohana, this web site is in appreciation, and to recognize the people of Hawaii who continually show their gratitude, and support for Our SHOPO and Police Ohana. These kind gestures are reflected in the generous monetary donations and sponsorships of SHOPO sanctioned events, in addition to the countless letters of appreciation and praises for Our SHOPO and Police Ohana.
